to Ay-en-si Ms. Tayong, obviously
you wrote your last column
("Ay-en-si") without
first checking your facts why INC
(Iglesia ni Cristo) members vote
as a bloc. Probably, no other
religious sect or any
well-managed organization can do
what the INC is doing every
election.
And this what makes INC a
unique organization. Imagine,
with its multifarious members
from all walks of life, with
varying cultures and origins,
still, it can command a solid
vote which is only a
manifestation of our unity.
You can call us names and
throw your harshest words at the
INC, but we ask you to first
check your facts or else I can
conclude that you wrote your
column with complete ignorance of
the doctrines the INC stands for.
Foremost and primary, all of
INCs actions are founded by
what is written in the Holy
Scriptures. These are the rules
of God and not of that of man.
Jesus Christ, in one of his
teachings, told His disciples to
"seek for the truth and the
truth will set you free."
The truth in this teaching is
obviously the word of God. Agree?
(You must!).
Hence, I would rather follow
what the truth is, which is based
on the Bible rather than follow
your reasoning.
The scriptures further tell us
to be united in all things
one voice and one judgement, for
schism or division is not of God,
but is of Satan.
Judgement. What is judgement?
Webster tells us that
"vote" is an expression
of judgement.
Now tell me, isnt it
right for the INC to vote or
judge these candidates as one?
Can you or your reasoning be
better than that of the Holy
Scriptures? I dont think
so.
We dont care if the one
INC members have voted for will
win or not. What we care about is
that INC members will be able to
preserve the unity that we have.
In that case, we have followed
what the government asks us to do
cast our vote; and
followed what the Holy Scriptures
asks us to do be united in
everything we do (including our
judgement).
Look at our country, division
has damaged our reputation. Look
at the Senate, the work there has
stopped because of two beliefs.
I conclude you love to see
this divisiveness for you may
reason that this is the voice of
democracy. Okey, fine.
But the INC will not permit
such thing to happen, for as
Ive said, division is of
Satan.
I am not familiar with the
Bible verses I used in my
arguments, but probably you can
interview one of our ministers in
Tarlac for you to get a better
understanding of what we stand
for. jigs, spoiler617@yahoo.com
